This evening the heat abated so I took my dog for a walk here by the river. It's been so hot lately that even at night there's little relief. Mr Wiggles was happy to be free from the confines of the house and I was happy to soak in the soft light of dusk. This is Bradenton, across the river from my home. As cities go it's small, but it suits me just fine. And in places like this I can find the needed space to decompress and let the gears unwind. This is a double exposure, one sharp, one soft, and at this time of the day, I'm trending soft.
A few weeks ago I stopped by this beach in Key Largo. It seemed like a remote island hideaway and I couldn't help but hear the Beach Boys singing in my head. I wonder if that happens to everyone that comes here. Nevertheless, the water was warm and calm and the breeze just right. Ah dang, there it goes again in my head. I better go look at a parking lot or it'll keep playing.
Vancouver has so many opportunities for going crazy with buildings. Ans so I did just that. But one day I would love to try the architecture in Germany. One day.
